X-Rays & Pan X-Rays
X-Rays are used to diagnose problems quickly and accurately. Taking an X-Ray involves focusing a beam of particles through bone, which produces an image on special film of the structure through which it passes. We use digital radiography that exposes the patient to 50-70% less radiation than conventional X-Rays. The digital technology also allows us to enhance the images for better clarity and diagnosis.
Panoramic X-Rays, also called radiographs, give dentists a complete view of the mouth. This provides information about a patient's teeth, jaw bones, sinuses, and other tissues of the head and neck. A pan X-Ray is an additional tool used to reach an accurate diagnosis.
